Savasios, 2023

<p>When Neoplatonists and Neopythagorians longed for the Orphic Messiah, three incarnations of Dionysus were recorded by Diodorus of Sicily: Zagreas, Iachus and Savasios.</p> <p>Savasios Dionysus is born in Phrygia. In Phrygia, Zeus Rhea, Demeter and Persephone turned into snakes and made love. Savasios was celebrated on Saturdays.</p>
